This paper addresses quantized feedback control problems for networked control systems with random disturbances. The sensors and the control are connected by a bandwidth-limited, digital communication channel. The information of the plant states needs to be transmitted over the channel with limited information rate. A new bitallocation scheme is presented to achieve minimum information rate for mean square stabilization of discrete-time linear control systems with random disturbances. An illustrative example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
