Other AbstractPlanning craft is a high-speed hull by dynamic lifting force, which makes complex fluid field. In this paper, a multi-block structured grid system is built according to the fluid gradient to capture the fluid field in detail first, then RANS and VOF are used to model the cruising at different speeds. The resistance of numerical simulation is compared with that of theoretical methods and experimental results, and agrees well. Numerical results present the cruising states including water waves, virtual length caused by transom stern and longitudinal spray. At last, the flow field of the self-propulsion planning craft is investigated with a contra-rotating propeller.
