Under the condition of great difficulties with vision measurement experiments in special environments (outer space and underwater, for example), a semi-physical simulation system for monocular vision measurement was established using Multigen Creator and Vega. In order to avoid the disadvantages of Vega in simulating motions and light sources, methods of getting the positions of moving objects based on the path equation and simulating light sources based on the optical characteristic of the light emitting diode were proposed. The metrical part of the system had the same process with the general measurement system of monocular visions. Application results showed that the development cycle of the simulation system was short and the virtual environment was similar to the real one. With the help of simulating various conditions of motions and light sources with the system, efficient algorithms could be chosen and metrical precisions could be improved.
