AbstractThe inherent properties of the induction motor of multivariate, strong coupling and nonlinearity result that the mechanism model cannot describe motor characteristics accurately. In this paper, an approach of modeling induction motors is suggested based on the identification principle of bilinear subspace state equations. Simulations show that the bilinear subspace identification is adequate for treating the characters of induction motors such as high order, multivariable coupling, nonlinearity and uncertainty of parameters effectively.
